Heya, how are you all doing? This week’s blog post is mostly consistent with all of the studio 3 students working hard and diligently so that we can all finish our work before the assigned deadlines.
I firstly wanted to state that it does help to have a demanding teacher in some aspects of education so that it can help promote healthier work habits. However, I personally think that I am a bad match for this teaching method. Since I am sorting out personal issues that are outside of my educational field, and I cant say that I have a full handle over them as of yet. Being stressful is one thing, but having the stress itself affect my confidence and work pace is anything but helpful. However, I am not someone who will leave a project incomplete and leave a team member suffer because of my inability to focus.
So during this week, I was focusing on remodeling the mansion for our project. (Quick recap for those of you who don’t know what the projects is, our approved story is about a woman walking into a mansion and discovers that she is the lost heir to the mansion) Since the scaling and the ratio of the architectural model disturbed the teacher, I had to double check that the proportions were appropriate and ideal for a rendered shot (provided that we have the right lenses for our cameras and the right lighting of the environments)
Since I am not too familiar with setting up a “Studio” lighting (for illustration and showcasing objects like in the regular advertisements) I did set a goal that I would be able to make a file and learn the set up myself. Fortunately, my teacher did cover on how to set one up. Granted that I was a little slow with learning the types of lights that make a scene stand out. However, I was able to acquire the complete file from a classmate (She was much faster than I was at setting one up) Thanks to her, we were able to have a turn-table of our protagonist (River) for the upcoming showcase.
I would expect that we will all be working overtime for the next two weeks (as showcase is not far off from now) I am sure I will be able to provide some screen shots of the project and where we are I the production stage, until the, I hope you all are doing well and have a lovely day.
